During product development, extensive research was carried out and a complete growth cycle with cannabis plants was completed.

All growth stages were investigated and both starting materials – seeds and cuttings – were used.

The plants were exposed to the essential oil throughout the entire growth cycle, including germination (seeds) and rooting (cuttings).

The experiments clearly demonstrated that:

• the treatment is in no way harmful to the plants
• the typical cannabis odour is strongly reduced or eliminated
• there is no negative influence on yield
• there is no negative influence on cannabinoid content
• there is no negative influence on terpene content

In all growth stages, the odour-removing effect of the oil mixture used is very good.

The oil mixture used has an intrinsic scent with a dominant lemon note. This is clearly noticeable and pleasant.

The typical cannabis odour is neutralised very effectively, leaving only a low level of scent from the oil itself – but clearly no cannabis odour.

The odour neutralisation also worked very well during the drying process.

Based on the chemical analysis of the cannabinoids and terpenes, it can be concluded that the oil treatment does not cause any negative effect (e.g. reduction of cannabinoids).

Furthermore, a taste test showed that there was no significant influence on the taste of the dried flowers.
